Hila Laiser Beja

 

Hila Laiser Beja is a multidisciplinary artist who works in sculpture with iron and rust, video art, drawing, and photography. In her works Hila investigates the effects of time and environment on people as well as raw materials. Through movement in space, she aims to understand how the human mind creates connective structures.

עוסקת בציור, צילום, מיצג, פיסול, תחריט והדפס. 

חיה במבשרת ציון ועובדת בתל-אביב. 

 

לימודים: 

בוגרת תואר ראשון בחוג לאמנות וחינוך, אוניברסיטת חיפה.

בוגרת התוכנית הבינתחומית באומנויות לתואר שני, אוניברסיטת תל אביב. 

 

בעבודותיה מהשנים האחרונות, מבקשת ליזר בג'ה לחקור את מושג ה"הבית", הפרטי והציבורי, ואת היבטיו השונים של החיכוך בין מקום יציב ומשמר, מול מקום מערער וכולא, בייחוד ביחס למעמדות האישה, הזרים, וכל אלו שאינם "בעלי הבית".
ביצירותיה היא מבקשת לבחון את רעיון "הבית הלאומי" כמקום מבטחים אידילי, ושואלת שאלות לגבי יסודותיו, ועל הפער בין החזית החיצונית לבין הכאוס הפנימי.
יצירותיה נעשות בחומרים טבעיים – בטון, ברזל וחלודה, תוך אתגור תפקודן.
